STRATFORD POLICE MARINE UNIT - MARINE ONE

MARINE UNIT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Consists of highly trained police officers certified as first responders, trained in water rescue and advanced marine unit operations. Duties include, responding to distress calls or assistance calls from the many boaters who operate within our borders. Enforce both state and local boating laws / ordinances along the towns 13 mile coast line, 3 beaches and 5 islands contained in the town all in the Housatonic River. Patrol and protect the great meadows marsh of the Stewart B. McKinny National Wildlife Refuge and assist other state, local and federal agencies upon request.
