NEW - Stratford Police Launch New tip411Mobile App for Crime-Fighting

The Stratford PD app is available for download for free via the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store

The Stratford PD app and tip411 anonymous text a tip system are 100% anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before police see the tips and there is no way to identify the sender.

Residents in Stratford without a smartphone will be able to send an anonymous text tip via their cell phone to police by texting keyword STRATFORDPD and their message/tip to 847411 (tip411).  Anonymous web tips can also be submitted through an online form (Link: >> online web tip form:<<). *FOR EMERGENCIES DIAL 911*

News Release - Medication Drop Box Opens at Stratford Police Department

Stratford Police Department announced that, “effective October 19, 2013, Stratford residents can now safely and properly dispose of their unused, unwanted, or expired medications without endangering the environment or water supplies."

Thanks to a grant from State of Connecticut Department of Mental
Health and Addiction Services, a medication drop box has been installed in the lobby of the Stratford Police Department...Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour said, “Unused medications left in the home are a growing concern and pose serious risks to health and safety if they end up in the wrong hands"...
